Lake guides for Las Vegas boaters

Explore planning guides for Lake Mead, Lake Mohave, Lake Havasu, Lake Tahoe and the Colorado River.

Use current information

Each destination has its own access, inspection and operating considerations. Check official conditions before departure and confirm any requested services separately.

Lake Mead

Lake Mead is a large reservoir with several launch areas, and access at each one depends on the current water level and park operations. Choose a launch location, then check the park alerts and the forecast before towing. Do not plan from an old water-level snapshot.

Lake Mohave

Lake Mohave is a long, narrower reservoir in the same national recreation area as Lake Mead. Plan around the specific launch and the water you intend to use, and check current park conditions rather than assuming a ramp is operating normally.

Lake Havasu

Lake Havasu sits on the Colorado River at the Arizona and California border. Confirm the intended marina or ramp, local rules and the forecast. Regional river operating information is useful context, not proof that a particular launch is accessible.

Colorado River

Name the stretch of river and the launch point when you plan a trip. Reclamation notes that releases and river levels vary, so do not assume conditions are the same all year or along the whole river.

Lake Tahoe

Motorized boats launching at Lake Tahoe go through the regional aquatic invasive species inspection program. Use its official station, appointment, preparation and fee information rather than a copied price list, and arrive clean, drained and dry.
