Which boat belongs in your Lake Mead life?

The right boat starts with the day you want to have. Choose the experience first, then examine the boat, the conditions and the practical details of owning it.

Start with your main activity

If most outings revolve around wakesurfing and wakeboarding, start your shortlist with a purpose-built watersports boat. If your priority is conversation, comfortable seating and day cruising, begin with a bowrider or dayboat. If overnight accommodation matters, compare cabin layouts and onboard systems. This is our selection framework, not a universal ranking.

For the surf-focused owner: explore Tigé

The manufacturer identifies the current Z3 as a 2027 model and lists a 23-foot-5-inch length, 16 seats and 4,300 pounds of ballast. That makes it a relevant starting point for a surf-focused shortlist. Ask for a demonstration of the exact boat and its wave controls, boarding arrangements and storage. Seating count is not permission to exceed the boat’s loading limits. Do not apply these 2027 specifications to a 2026 stock unit.

For day cruising and entertaining: explore Regal

Regal lists the LX6 as an outboard-powered bowrider with a 26-foot-3-inch overall length, 8-foot-6-inch beam and 95-gallon fuel capacity. Its seating and head compartment make it worth comparing for longer social outings. These are model-level facts, not a promise about a particular boat’s options, range or available stock. Confirm the model year and installed equipment before deciding.

The lake gets a vote

Lake access and weather change. Check the official park conditions and local forecast before each trip; a boat’s size, price or luxury equipment does not make hazardous conditions acceptable. Evaluate visibility, boarding, shade, storage and ride comfort during a suitable-condition demonstration rather than relying on a brochure adjective.

Bring the ownership details into the decision

Measure the complete boat-and-trailer combination with the tower in its storage position. Compare the loaded trailer weight, tongue load, hitch and tow-vehicle limits—not dry hull weight alone. Confirm storage-door clearance and launch arrangements. Ask for an ownership budget covering insurance, maintenance, fuel, storage and transport in addition to the purchase price.

Build a shortlist around you

Tell us your usual passenger group, main activity, preferred lake, towing plans and budget. We can discuss the models worth exploring and the questions to resolve before purchase. Compare the actual configuration through a water test; no model recommendation here is a guarantee of performance in Lake Mead conditions.
